Virginia May (Shaw) Howell, age 91, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at Hidden Lake Care Center, Raytown, Missouri. Virginia May (Shaw) Howell, age 91, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at Hidden Lake Care Center, Raytown, Missouri. Mrs. Howell, daughter of Omer and Ophelia (Arney) Shaw, was born July 9, 1921. She and Curtis Forsyth Howell were married February 26, 1940. Curtis preceded her in death on June 7, 2003.
She is survived by one son, Curtis Lee Howell and his wife, Virginia Ann, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two grandsons, Carl Curtis Howell and his wife, Annette, of Independence, Missouri, Brett Lee Howell and his wife, Allison, of Independence, Missouri; two great granddaughters, Melissa Marie Howell and Melinda Marie Howell; and one great grandson, Paxton Lee Howell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to Glenstone Baptist Church.
