W. Janiece Grimes McIntosh Wallin was born September 9, 1925 and fell into the arms of her Savior on October 16, 2014. She would kindly ask that you do not do the math. She married the father of her beloved children and the grandfather of her favored grandchildren, Theodore M. McIntosh, on January 8, 1945. They spent 51 wonderful years together enjoying their family, their farm, their horses, and their retirement. When the Lord called Ted home, He knew that she shouldn’t be alone and later sent her the man that would be her companion and help her to enjoy the remaining 16 years of her life, Elmer “Al” Wallin. Janiece spent her years wisely, instilling faith in her children and grandchildren, letting all of them know how much she loved them, as often as she could. She loved Missouri Fox Trotters, especially ‘Country Girl’, her cantankerous show horse with whom she won many shows. She later loved showing her Schnauzer ‘Pepe’, also accumulating accolades. She was an avid sports fan and will continue to cheer on the Royals through this dream season. She was an ace tennis player, winning many tournaments with her Valle Del Oro team. At Ironwood, she was queen of the golf course, celebrating several holes-in-one as the lead of her putting team. Her dancing, however, was her favorite hobby. She won national accolades with her clogging and danced every chance she got. She said that if she could go back and choose her profession, she would have chosen dance or law. That last choice is no surprise to those of us that love her and have watched her haggle her way through business endeavors. She leaves behind a testament to the value of an active life and a legacy of unwavering faith in our God, incredible love for her children and grandchildren, for her husband, and for her extended family and friends. Her family is so grateful for the time that we were allowed with her. She will be missed beyond measure and we anxiously await the day that we will see her again. Services for Wilma J. McIntosh Wallin will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. before services.
