On October 22, 2012, W. Jeanne Smith Thompson Richardson Andersen went home to be at peace with our Lord and Savior.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Leigh and Dovie Smith, sister Ruth Ann Smith Novack and husband Charlie, husbands; Ed Thompson, Gene Richardson and Ardell Andersen, and son William Arlo Thompson.
Jeanne is survived by daughters; Dee A. Thompson Hawkins, and partner Ray Bergeron, Eddie Gay Thompson and partner George Schopp, Marie Richardson Pease and husband Dave. Granddaughters Mychelle L.Walker Eckels and her husband Cory, Brandy D. Walker, Chris Schopp Lodes and husband Dan, Lindsey Schopp Goshell and husband Billy, Anna Moore Holdren and husband Nathan. Grandson Michael Moore and partner Michelle, nine great- grandchildren, two nephews, Bruce Novack and wife Janine, Mark Novack.
Thanks for all the support from a host of family, neighbors and friends. Many whom she met while bartending over 20 years at the iconic Cat and Fiddle. While at the “Cat” Jeanne helped initiate a successful, annual Toys for Tots campaign.
Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 27. 2012 form 11:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Jeanne’s Celebration of Life to follow at Grumpy’s Lounge, 3453 S. Campbell, 65807.
In lieu of flowers, new unopened toys that will be given to Toys for Tots in Jeanne’s honor can be donated at Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
