Walter Wesley Doyle went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 65, at 8:26 am on February 12, 2018 after a long hard battle with Acinar Pancreatic Cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer and bone cancer. He was surrounded by his family in his own home.
Walter was born on April 18, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri to Walter Leo and Lorene Pendergrass Doyle, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by three sisters, Joan, Mary, Linda and a brother John (Butch).
He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 & ¾ years, Darlene (Bice) Doyle; daughter, Betty Doyle (boyfriend Nate), Strafford, Missouri; sons, Raymond (wife Melissa) Doyle, Springfield, Missouri, David (wife Sally) Doyle, of Ozark, Missouri, and Jeff (wife Christy Ventura) Doyle, of Alexandria, VA; Seven Grandchildren, Christopher Doyle, Caleb Doyle, Connor Doyle, Jasmine Sondree, Jade Sondree, Zane Doyle and Ariana Doyle. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews as well as many loved friends.
Walter worked for T-Haul Tank Lines as an Operations Manager and Sales person. He loved his job and his employees as well as the owner of the company, Rick Johnson and his family.
His favorite pass times were spending time with his Children and Grandchildren; gardening with his wife, and going to NASCAR Races.
Walter was a very loved member of Graceway Baptist Church where he served the Lord, and was an usher, trustee and led men’s events. He also served with his wife, for 14 years in ministry to children at Great Circle (Jim D. Morris Campus) in Springfield.
Walter served in the United States Marines Corp.
Walter was very active in many Masonic Organizations. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 form 6:00 pm to 7:30 with Mason Services and True Kindred Services to follow at Greenlawn North Funeral Home 3506 N. National, Springfield, MO and Funeral Services with be Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00 am. Pastor Bob Stephenson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Military honors.
