Wilbur George Pipenhagen age 85, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer.He was born May 13, 1927 in Maple Grove, Minnesota to George and Adela Pipenhagen. He was married to Phyllis Miller on August 25, 1950. To this union five children were born.After serving our country in the Korean War, he worked for sixteen years as a shipping foreman at Minneapolis Electric Steel Castings. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of forty, felt called into full time ministry, and pastored the Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple after graduating from Baptist Bible College with a ministry degree.After the death of his wife of forty-one years, he married Floydine Brengle on July 7, 1992, and was a faithful member at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by wife Phyllis and sister Marvel Erickson.He is survived by wife Floydine, daughter Trudy Stewart and her husband Jerry of Springfield, son Terry and wife Lucretia of Orlando, Florida, daughter Sheryl Geoghan and husband Steve of West Jordan, Utah, son Bruce and wife Annette of Aldrich, Missouri, daughter Wendy Brooks and husband Randy of Springfield, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and sister Ruth Colebank and husband Bob of Buffalo, Minnesota.The service will be at 11:00am, Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South with Pastor Hosea Bilyeu officiating. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
