Willa Macinta Chapman, age 35, of Bois D’Arc, MO, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011, at St. John’s Medical Center. She was born June 5, 1975, in Springfield, MO, to Parley and Sandra (Hunt) Pierce.
She was married and sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple to Carl C. Chapman July 1, 1995, and to this union four daughters were born. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southwest Missouri State Universilty. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Willard 2nd Ward. She loved her church callings and family history. She liked working with her arts and crafts, working the family budget, and she loved helping others. She likes to read, cook, but most of all loved spending time with her family. Willa’s greatest desire was to please her Heavenly Father.
She is preceded in death by her father in-law Carl R. Chapman, and brother in-law Ryan Chapman.
Willa is survived by Her husband Carl C. Chapman of the home; four daughters: Lindsey, Sydne, Lydia, and Avery all of the home; her parents Parley P. Pierce of Ash Grove, MO, and Sandra Kay Hunt of Mt. Vernon, MO; three sisters: Pamela Brooke of Sherman, TX, Parla Whitney of Ash Grove, MO, and Lurleen Pendergrass of Bois D’Arc, MO; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 20, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Willard 2nd Ward, Willard, MO, with Bishop Dale Rodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery, Dadeville, MO. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the church Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, MO.
