William Arthur Harp, 88, of Pleasant Hope was born November 9, 1922 to William Clifford and Ruby Ethel (Jones) Harp. He went to be with his Lord Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Warren Avery, twin brothers, Harely Ronald and Harvey Donald; one sister-in-law, Mary Kennedy; and three brothers-in-law, Harley Kennedy, Martin Rice and Lee Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of seventy years and three months, Ethel America; two sons, Arthur Junior and wife Juanita, Fair Grove; Charles Richard and wife Sandy, Pleasant Hope; two daughters, Linda Ivonne Wadkins, Springfield, and LaDena Lavonne Prewitt and husband Les, Ozark; one brother, Arvil Lee and wife Rosemary, Nixa; one sister, Clara Lene Rice, Columba, MO.; five sisters-in-law, Toy and Norma Harp, Nixa, Melba Phillips, Fair Grove, Claudia Garrison and husband Bob, and Betty White and husband Jim, Springfield; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him.
Services are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Fred Pritchett officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and services will be Tuesday, March 22, at 10:00 A.M. in Greenlawn North Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery.
