William “Bill” A. Cochrane, age 86, of Springfield, MO, passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Joplin, MO, while in the loving care of his daughter and caregiver, Donna Booe. He was born to William and Kathleen (Vance) Cochrane on November 2, 1937, in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Kathleen (Vance) Cochrane; his wife of more than 50 years, Marlene (LaPrairie) Cochrane; son, William T. Cochrane; and brother, Richard Cochrane. He is survived by his son, Allan Cochrane and his wife, Kim, of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Donna Booe and her husband Mike, of Joplin, MO; daughter, Pauline Newberry and her husband, David, of Springfield, MO; and son, Shawn Cochrane and his wife, Stephanie, of Marshfield, MO. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Bill will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held for William “Bill” A. Cochrane on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, MO. In accordance with Bill’s final wishes, there will not be a funeral service prior to his burial. Bill will be laid to rest next to his wife, Marlene, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
