Mr. William “Bill” Charles Graham, age 94 of Bolivar, MO passed away Tuesday November 30, 2010 in Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, MO. He was born March 7, 1916 in Kingsville, MO; the sixth child of Arthur Lee and Ludie Bell (Wagnor) Graham.
As a young man, Bill grew up and worked in the Kansas City, MO area. During World War II, Bill served in the United States Army Air Corps, stationed in England. Bill was assigned to the US Bomber Command Group as a tail gunner in a Boeing B17 Flying Fortress Bomber. Upon release from the service of his country, Bill returned to the Kansas City area where he was employed by the Country Club Dairy; Union Station passenger terminal and R.B. Rice Meat Packing Company, retiring after many years as a meat cutter.
Bill professed his faith and belief in Christ and held the saving grace of Christ in his heart. Bill never complained or had a bad or an unkind word to say of anyone. Bill was a loving husband, a kind, sweet and gentle man. He will always be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jay, Lawrence,
Arthur “Buck” and Robert; sisters Lorene Hunt; Viola Hamilton; Frances Liddle and Kathryn Miller.
Bill is survived by his wife Anna of the home; son Bill Haralson and wife Peggy of Marionville, MO: daughter Cathy Bleggi and husband Frank of Bishop, CA; brother Don Graham and wife Hazel of Pleasant Hill, MO; sister-in-law Shirley Graham of Lee’s Summit, MO and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mr. William “Bill” Graham will be at 2:00 pm, Friday December 3, 2010 in the New Bethel Cemetery, south of Halfway, MO, with Pastor Rayden Hollis officiating, burial to follow in the cemetery.
