William B. Dickinson, 94, of Springfield, MO, passed away at Maranatha Lodge and went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2020. “Ben” was born on August 20, 1926 to William and Mary Dickinson in Hamburg, New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marion Dickinson, and 2 children: Joan Dickinson Barth and husband Paul Barth, and Dale Dickinson. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Kendra Hornbeck and Shanna Steiner (Darryl), 6 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Ruth Snyder, 15 nieces and nephews, and 1 cousin. They were married on May 28, 1949 in East Aurora, New York. They are members of Central Assembly here in Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a special niece, Darlene James.
He graduated from Farmingdale High School in 1943, and Northwest Bible Institute in 1945. Prior to his retirement in 1977, Ben worked for the National Bisquit Company for 38 years. He owned Black Forest Wood Shop in Republic Missouri.
He enjoyed coin collecting, playing the piano, organ and trumpet, and he also enjoyed restoring a pipe organ at Bethel Church in Rochester, New York.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, 1:00-2:00pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North and followed by a service at 2:00pm. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to World Missions Dept. at Central Assembly of God, 1301 Boonville in Springfield, Missouri.
