William “Bill” Floyd Hartley, age 76, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023, with his daughter and granddaughter by his side. He was born on November 6, 1946, in Marshall, Missouri, to William T. and Betty A. Hartley. He graduated from Marshall High School, served in the Navy, and upon returning from the service, was the owner of High Timber Tree Service.
The many facets to Bill included being a free spirit, an entertainer, and being affiliated with the Baptist Church. Whether on stage, performing or sharing a story, he left you wanting more. He loved and was very proud of his grandchildren, and they loved their “Pam Paw Bill”. He was memorable even to those he met once, with a smile and a laugh that will be missed but never forgotten. He lived a full adventurous life, his way. He had many hobbies, but was happiest when he was riding his Harley Davidson.
He is preceded in death by his parents William T. Hartley and Betty A. Hartley. He is survived by his daughter, Dina Norcross, her husband Gary and son William “Will” R. Hartley; 4 grandchildren, Todd, Brittany, and Tyler Moss, and Darren Hartley; 2 great-grandchildren, Hana and Nolan Moss; brother, Ronnie Hartley; 2 sisters, Dina Renee Hartley and Melody Hartley; 7 nieces and nephews, Lester “Skeeter” Williams, Crystal Williams, William “Rocky” Hartley, Jeremiah Hartley, Jessica Hartley Neus, William “Chris” Newell, and Lesly Ammerman; cousin, Brenda Miller; and the mother of his children, Suzanne Pfautz.
As per his wishes, no service is scheduled but there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
The family ask that any donations be made to the National League of POW/MIA Families, 5673 Columbia Pike Suite 100, Falls Church, VA 22041
