William Joseph Dill, “Joe” beloved husband, father, Grandpa, uncle and devoted mechanic, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at his home in Pleasant Hope, Missouri, at the age of 70. Born on September 5, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri, Joe was a lifelong resident of the area, known for his passion for rebuilding cars and a love that touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Joe is survived by his cherished wife, Marilyn “Sue” Dill; his son, William “Joe” Dill Jr; his daughters, Step daughter Tammy, Sherri, and Tracy and their families who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude. He is also survived by his siblings Nancy, David, Lois, Merle and Delores.
A devoted family man, Joe found joy in cruising in his 69 Chevelle, and he took immense pride in his craftsmanship as a mechanic. He also enjoyed the outdoors with late night fishing trips at Fellows Lake and backyard bonfires.
Joe was greeted in heaven by: parents Clarence and Della, sisters Rosella, and Lisa, brothers Harlen and Marlin, nephew Adam.
Funeral services will be held to celebrate William’s life on June 23, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Family, and all who knew Joe are invited to join in remembering his spirit, strength, and the countless ways he made the world a better place. In this time of mourning, let us gather to honor a great man whose legacy will live on in our hearts.
