Laura Hulse left a message on March 17, 2020:
Robbie was the brightest light at the marina and it was such a pleasure to see him every morning. His smile was infectious and genuine and he was truly happy to see me - whether at work or running into him in town on a day off. Robbie kept up with the college boys right up to his 70's and the heat was the only thing that could take him down. He called me "Laurie" - a nickname I usually allow only for family - and it was a sound I treasured as Robbie was FAMILY. He was fishing guide, dock hand, mentor, grandpa, father, brother, co worker....but most of all he was FRIEND. And I cannot imagine a world without him. You have left a tremendous legacy, dear Robbie and we were all so blessed to have been in your world. My heart goes out to Sandy - the love of his life - and all of his lovely family. He loved you all. We are all better for having known this wonderful man and he will never be forgotten. Fishing forever with his sidekick "Jack".
