William Stanley Shobe, 54 of Battlefield, Mo passed away in Cox South on Monday March 7, 2011. He was born on August 7, 1956 in Kansas City, Mo. Stan graduated from Glendale High School, and was a Auto Body Shop Manager. He was married to Delilah Delp Shobe on February 17, 1979 in Springfield. Stan was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was a three time NASCAR True Value Hardware Mechanic of the Year Award, three time local racing series Crew Chief of the Year. He liked restoring classic cars, racing, flying airplanes and spending time with family and friends especially his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Shobe; and brother in law, Bob Kyle.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Delilah; his mother, Eula; and his daughter Jennifer and husband Cody Smith; grandson, Jared William Smith; sisters, Pam Kyle and Patti Mainini and husband Rodney; six nieces; three nephews; and several cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home East on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow funeral in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
