William “Bill” Wayne Tryan, age 90 of Springfield, Missouri, passed away January 4, 2026. He was born on November 24, 1935, in Crocker, Missouri. He was the son of Aretta Marcia Joiner Tryan and James Franklin Tryan. He began a 54 year marriage to Clara B. Biram on October 21, 1967, in Waynesville, Missouri. He served in the United States Army with training starting at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Bill retired from Civil Service being a Deputy Commissioner Officer after a 30 + year career. Bill’s life was shaped by simple joys and steady passions—gardening, woodworking, upholstery, and time spent outdoors hunting and fishing. He enjoyed quiet moments with word search puzzles, reading, playing solitaire, watching sports following the St. Louis Cardinals faithfully, and treasured every moment spent with his family. Bill was preceded indeath by his wife, Clara B. (Biram) Tryan; parents, Aretta M. Tryan and James F. Tryan; siblings, Flora Alberta Wilson, Johnny Robert Tryan, Jackie Tryan, Francis Jean Camden, Donna Sue Ault, James Franklin Tryan, Jr. Larry Edward Tryan, Leroy Tryan, and Bobby Dean Tryan. Bill is survived by his children, Michael Sean Tryan (Jenny) of Peculiar, Missouri; Vicki Sue Routh-Cobb of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Emilie Tryan of Peculiar, Missouri and Chandler Cobb of Springfield, Missouri; a great-granddaughter, Luna Cobb of Springfield, Missouri, and his sister, Mary Ann Davis of Centerton, Arkansas, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2025 beginning at 9:00 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home, North followed by graveside funeral services beginning at 10:00 am in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3506 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803.
