Willis Jean Carver was born August 16, 1923 in Billings, MO and died January 28, 2013 at the age of 89 yrs, 6 months and 12 days. He was an Army scout in WWII.
Upon returning from the war, he farmed and worked as a union carpenter. Later he became a commercial bus driver for Continental Trailways for twenty seven years where he was honored with a safety award for over one million accident free miles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Carver; his wife Elizabeth and his brother Marvin.
He is survived by his daughter and husband, Jean and Jim Lanning of Branson, MO.; a granddaughter Jessica and children Mackenzie, Katarina, and Tristan of Royse City, TX.; a grandson and wife, Justin and Nikki Lanning and daughters Nadia and Reese of Franklin, TN.; a grandson Rodney Keller of Branson, MO.; a niece and husband, Beverly and Mike Kinsella of Republic, MO.; a special friend Helen Crum of Springfield, MO. and many cousins.
Visitation will be at Greenlawn East in Springfield, MO. on Friday, Feb. 1st from
6 to 8 pm. Graveside service will be held at the Mount Comfort Cemetery Saturday, Feb. 2 at 11 am.
