Wilma B. Upp, age 79, of Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at St. John’s Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1932, in Hatfield, AR, to Woody and Lillie (Stinson) McCoy. Wilma was united in marriage to Charles G. Upp on October 9, 1954. Wilma was a member of Westside Christian Church, Republic, she was also a member of Cresent Chapter 21 of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Past Worthy Matron .
She was preceded in death by her parents Woody and Lillie Mae McCoy, and one sister Judy Hopper. She is survived by her loving husband Charles G. Upp; two daughters, Debbie Anderson and husband Gary and Kim Nimmo and husband Burney ;five grandchildren,Heath Nimmo, Lindsey O’Connor, Nicholas Nimmo, Stephanie Anderson, Chuck Anderson, ; two great grandchildren , Vanessa Nimmo and Teagan Anderson; and one sister Wanda Jo Shields and husband Gerald of Hermitage, MO.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO, with Pastor Jim Haenig officiating. Visitation will be held from 7-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
