Wilma Jean Wolfel, age 85, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 in her home. She was born July 26, 1925, in Ozark, MO, to Levy and Ona (McCoy) Chrisman. She was an expert seamstress and baker. She also loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wolfel; her son, James Wolfel; her parents, Levy and Ona Chrisman; two brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her two children, Richard Wolfel, Elkland, MO and Nancy Johnston and husband Steve of Springfield, Mo; four grandchildren, Matthew Wolfel, Marti Edwards, Eryn Coverdale, and Brett Johnston; and eight great-grandchilden.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 21, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
